Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education
The Academy is committed to safeguarding children and young people.
Please note that all successful applicants will be subjected to List 99 and a satisfactory Enhanced CRB disclosure. If short listed, references will be sought before interview.
All convictions, bind overs, warnings or any other court proceedings must be declared on application forms. Failure to do so could later result in summary dismissal.
Please note that no conviction when applying for any post working with children, including any job in the Academy, is ever regarded as “spent”. This means that all convictions have to be disclosed, irrespective of the time elapsed. If there is any doubt, applicants should make any issue which may be relevant known at the time of application.
A conviction will not automatically prevent an applicant from being considered. The possible impact of an offence will be taken into account by the Trustees.
