History at Key Stage 3
KS3 History allows pupils to gain a wide range of transferable skills.

Our Curriculum:Year 7 pupils start off with an introduction to History. They then interrogate themes of power & control and how history has shaped the lives of everyday people. Year 8 pupils look at monarchy & religion, investigating why for instance, Henry VIII broke with Rome. They also consider historical beliefs and ideas, focusing on witchcraft and exploration. In year 9, pupils study modern historical events that have shaped the world, including the Civil Rights movement and the First and Second World Wars. |
