Curriculum
Aims
The curriculum at Mossbourne is extended and personalised to meet the needs of all learners. Flexibility in the curriculum allows for adaptations to be made that are responsive to the needs of both individuals and groups of students as they progress through the Academy.
There are five key principles underpinning the design of the Academy's curriculum.
All students have access to a broad, balanced and coherent curriculum that supports learning
A strong core ensures that basic skills are embedded at an early stage so that students are able to access the wider curriculum
An extended curriculum ensures all students have access to catch-up, extension and enrichment
The curriculum is fully personalised and inclusive and meets the needs of individual students at every Key Stage
ICT, the Academy's specialism and part of the core curriculum, is used to enhance teaching and learning and is embedded across the curriculum
